My treasured Van Halen album

The first time that I heard Van Halen on the radio in 1978, I knew that I had to hear more.  I found out that they would be performing at the Fox Theater in Atlanta, and I made plans to go.  I also learned that they would be appearing before the concert at a local record store - I think it was Turtles Records and Tapes.  I went to the store, and was able to meet all 4 members of the band, and obtain this signed album.  I have treasured it ever since!

Eddie's guitar and Michael's bass

Here you see Eddie's famous striped "Frankenstein" guitar, and Michael Anthony's bass, which was on display in the Los Angeles Hard rock in October 2003 when I took this picture.  Sadly, this Hard Rock is closed now and I cannot find out where these items are today.  ** Update *** see below.

If you have photos of memorabilia that you would like to share with other fans, please send me an e-mail and I'll be happy to add it here!

Eddie's Frankenstrat

7-8-07 Update - since I posted the above photo I have heard that the guitar is located in Orlando, Florida, and also have heard reports of it being in Atlantic City (thanks, Brian).  Raf Van Geert sent us a copy of a photo he took of a guitar at the Orlando Hard Rock in 2004 which looks like a similar guitar - although not exactly the same one.  See below.  Thanks, Raf!
